OCEAN LIFE

With You.
Composed in Autumn 1997

The gentle sound of water, passing sweetly oér rock,
Will find a doorway in my mind, and softly there unlock.
My memories will all flood out, my thoughts, my dreams of you
The babble of the brook reveals, the stories, ever true...

The sun may pale in tranquil sky, the clouds may bring the rain,
But always in my thoughts of you, a happiness remains.
A love which reached the deepest realms, of this tormented mind,
Is always there, sometimes obscured, but ne’er too hard to find.

For all the things surrounding life, which nature formed so well,
Hold traits of you, and there reflect, the beauty you expel.
The sounds of earth, the distant hum, the patterns of all life,
Show signs of beauty, songs of love, for you my darling wife.

My words form oh so easily, when thoughts are turned to you,
You make my life seem so complete, with all the things you do.
Your smile, your touch, your Angels kiss, return the sun to me
And leave a memory in my heart, of where I long to be,

Rewritten in Autumn 1997
