OCEAN LIFE

The Hermit.
Composed in early spring 1994

To walk through life, and see each day, the way that birds and
Squirrels play.
In woodlands, and in open space, I’ve seen the Goddess show
Her grace.
Her beauty grows in wilderness, uncrushed by man’s
Destructive mess
Lest we forget, how birds do sing, and snowdrops herald
In the spring.
The gentle breeze, among the boughs, replace the sound of
Mankinds rows.
I long for grass and trees, not bricks. I’ll build my home of
Wood and sticks.
And there, I’ll share, this love I’ve found. In natures beauty,
All around.
I’m tired of treading concrete paths, where man has wreaked
An awful wrath.
Today I’ll change the way I live, for love and beauty is
To give.
Ive taken all I will from Man, within his fading
World.
